SPIDER

PRODUCER

Multi-Platinum

Spider developed a profound fascination with music at an early age. Given free rein of the church organ with no one around, Spider was afforded an unheard-of opportunity to experiment. The unmediated contact with the power of music was revelatory. The enigmatic hits of the 1980s and the unconstrained programming of Princeton’s student radio station expanded Spider’s horizons to new worlds of possibility. This musical bounty led to a singular obsession with record-making.

Spider's talent as a self-produced recording artist caught the attention of industry leaders, who ushered him into the upper echelons of the business. After a fierce bidding war in 1999, Silvia Rhone, then president of Elektra Records, and Irwin Robinson at Famous Music Publishing signed Spider to buzzworthy contracts.

Spider’s remarkable achievements include writing, producing, engineering, and mixing numerous award-winning, record-breaking, and personally fulfilling projects. His list of collaborators includes bona fide legends, pop sensations, rising stars, and underground DJs.

Frustration with so many studios drove Spider to seek out the truth about reference monitoring. This led to serving as the artist relations ambassador for PMC Speakers, the leading manufacturer of high-end studio speaker systems. It was at this post that Spider learned that studio monitoring is a skill, and one that can be developed. While at PMC, Spider advised a diverse clientele on strategic monitoring choices and fine-tuned hundreds of speaker systems.

Now, as a studio design producer, Spider leverages his vast record-making experience and refined sensibility to advocate for clients who seek a rich and productive studio life.
