KYLE MANN
ENGINEER
Grammy-WinningKyle's multifaceted career began in Philadelphia as a member of a national touring act. Later, engineering daily studio sessions in Nashville reinforced the preparedness he acquired on the road. Once in Los Angeles, Kyle's skills and high standards made him indispensable to an elite clientele at the intersection of musicianship and hitmaking.
Kyle is among the 140 engineers to ever receive a Grammy for Best Engineered Album. He was bestowed this accolade for his work with Victoria Monet on her critically acclaimed album “Jaguar II.” Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Leslie Odem Jr., and D’Mile are among the great artists Kyle has recorded and mixed for albums, television, and film.
After noting the shortcomings of many well-known recording studios, Kyle took matters into his own hands and turned to acoustics forums. Unsatisfied with the quality of the discourse among many leading "experts," he digested source materials–acoustics textbooks–and, through experimentation, built up a body of knowledge free of snake oil and outdated ideas.
Kyle works from first principles to discover elegant solutions to complex problems. He continues to innovate and make high-performance studio acoustics more accessible. And unlike most studio designers, he understands intimately the implications of his design choices and engineers studios to support profound artistic expression.
